Newborn Themes

We are continually coming up with new ideas for themes as we (myself and my family) really enjoy the creative side of producing a new themes. Not all our themes are listed, as we can only show photos where we have have been granted formal permission to do so.  The following is an example of some themed scenes. Some of the scenes are simple and do not require any specific items to be created, others require props and are referred to as Propped Themes.

About the themes

Title Description and any associated costs
D-Day in an Egg Shell ** A fantastic theme with a personal connection between child and mum. The egg shell is made from a cast of the pregnant mother’s tummy. This is then crafted into a white egg shell to sit the newborn child in for the phoot-shoot. The second egg shell can be plain or have a fun message “written” from your child within it. This can be anything or something specific like the delivery date, its weight, height, or some connection with its new family (eg. pet cat). In one photo completed using this theme a cow was added as her father was a proud dairy farmer. Giving a connection between mother (the tummy mould) and father. It is a personal favourite of mine.
Mould is created by parents and finished by us 48 hrs before the photo-shoot.  We are happy to provide the materials, advice and assistance in creating a subtle mould, and apply an final “egg shell” finish.  Once completed you may keep the mould as a keep sake.
Dumper Truck * A great fun photograph of things to came.  One that reminds me of the first time I found my son fast asleep while still having one hand on his car, ready for when he woke up again.
Magic Carpet A beautiful simple theme that help frame your child wonderfully. I’ve not come across a newborn baby yet who does not enjoy sleeping on the magic carpet and dreaming of adventures in far away lands!
Safe In Their Hands A theme with an obvious personal touch of the new born being held safely in arms hands of a parent.
Traveling Suitcase * A theme with a possible beautiful hidden connection. It can be done either using a selection collection of the parents clothing, or if the grandparents keep some of your clothes as a keep sake, they can be used instead. A connection between you and your baby to prove to them you were once that young too. Another alternative is to use the child’s own clothing.
Washing Basket * A theme that was inspired by an old back and white photo of young child asleep in a washing basket while the mother was busy doing other house work. Again, has the opportunity for a personal touch in that the parent’s clean clothing can be draped over the sides, or as alternative, the child’s own clothing can be used.
